Dee Gordon is an American professional baseball player. He has played as a second baseman, shortstop, and center fielder, and been with the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Miami Marlins, the Seattle Mariners, and the Washington Nationals of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Dee is the son of Devona Denise Strange and Tom Gordon (Thomas Flynn Gordon), a professional baseball player, who was a right-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball. His parents are both African-American. His half-brother, Nick Gordon, is also a professional baseball player. Dee was known as Dee Gordon for much of his career, before using the name Dee Strange-Gordon starting in 2020, to honour his mother.

He created Flash of Hope, a charity for children with a parent who died from domestic abuse.

Dee’s paternal grandfather was named Thomas Gordon.

Dee’s paternal grandmother was named Annie.

Dee’s maternal grandfather is named Donald C. Strange (the son of Blanche Strange). Blanche was the daughter of Roosevelt Strange and Thelma Davis.

Dee’s maternal grandmother is named Gwendolyn Diane Price.
